Coleraine Yacht Club launched the River Ridge Recycling 24 Hour Dinghy Race on Saturday 21st April.
The race is being held on The River Bann over the weekend 15th, 16th and17th June 2012.
The launch was attended by press sponsors and local dignitaries as well as many past commodores.
Share Centre and Waterways Ireland have gotten together to run 2012 Free Watersports Fun Day. The event is taking place on Saturday May 19th. It involves a huge range of FREE activities for people to choose from to actively encourage persons who would not ususally have access to the Waterways to see what is available to them.
The 36 ft yawl Ain Mara celebrates her 100th birthday this year and her owner, Dickie Gomes plans to take part in Royal Ulster’s 50th Anniversary Ailsa Craig race in June.

This is a great event for those who own their own boats, but don’t feel confident enough to travel far from their home waters or for those who enjoy cruising but don’t own their own yachts. The cruise will be led, with RYA qualified Yachtmaster Instructors, who will also have the capacity to move between boats to help out with coaching and instruction, to help develop your skills whilst you take part.
