Ryan Seaton and Matt McGovern secured 7th place overall in the 49er class at Skandia Sail For Gold in Weymouth.  Lying in 10th overall after a week of windy conditions, the pair finished 5th in the medal race and moved up 3 places on the final day.

Celebrate 2012 - Year of Sailing

Over the weekend of the 23rd and 24th of  June, Sailing Clubs and Schools all over Ireland will take part in Sail Spree; a new initiative launched by the Irish Sailing Association (ISA) and helped in NI by RYANI to foster interest and participation in sailing and water sports.

Dinghy  Relay Race & Club Open Day

Sailing will be a big part of the London Olympics in 2012. DSC will host a day of fun with a  4 hour “Sail for Gold” Dinghy Team Relay Race, Club Open Day and “Come and Try” sessions.

NI Final Honda RYA Youth Rib Championships

Venue: Carrickfergus Sailing Club, 19^th May 2012.

The day was bright with light breeze and a short chop that made the course tricky for the 20 competitors from 7 clubs across the province. The racing was however close, so close in fact that in the older age category there was a tie for 2^nd place.
